（中央社記者顧荃台北21日電）無尾熊為什麼戴帽子？原來是保育員的祕技。台北市立動物園今天說，若無尾熊爬到較高的樹枝上，保育員無法穩定將牠們抱下來時，會用帽子遮住無尾熊上方的視線，讓牠們自行爬下來。

動物園表示，為了讓每隻無尾熊都能到戶外曬太陽、吹吹風，保育員每天都會輪流抱2到4隻無尾熊到戶外展場。

如果當天的氣溫非常舒適，無尾熊可能會到傍晚還不想回到室內，有時還會爬到高高的樹梢上，導致保育員即使爬到梯子上，也沒把握能安全地將無尾熊抱下來。

動物園說明，保定無尾熊時，保育員會先把無尾熊從樹幹上抱下來，讓牠坐在保育員的一隻手臂上，保育員同時運用這隻手的手指扣住無尾熊的兩隻前臂。

如果無尾熊待在保育員搆不到的位置，爬到梯子上的保育員想調整姿勢時重心比較不穩，這時被抱持的無尾熊也會感覺到，甚至有可能想跳走或啃咬扣住牠的手，對無尾熊和保育員都是處在危險的狀態。

動物園說，因此保育員靈機一動，想到個方法，就是用身上最方便取得的帽子，遮住無尾熊上方的視線，無尾熊基於天性，為了想要看清楚環境，就會慢慢自動「倒退嚕」下樹。

不過也不是所有無尾熊都這麼愛待在戶外，動物園說，有一次天氣較為炎熱，雌性無尾熊「芙蓉」竟迫不及待地自己下樹，爬向保育員，想快點回室內吹冷氣。

為了因應夏季炎熱氣溫，保育員也會提早上班，好讓無尾熊在清晨6時左右就能到戶外曬太陽，等到9時到10時左右，氣溫開始明顯升高時，就會讓無尾熊回到室內。1050921
